Record bowls

Last friday we made record bowls out of records.

Needs

glass bowl

oven mits

160'c oven

First you get a record and put it on a glass bowl and put it in the oven and turn it up to 160'c .

Then you wait till it starts shaking and then pull it out.

Lastly you get your oven mits and push your fist down so it will make a shape like a flower and wait for about a minute so it will cool down, then you take it out and then your finished.

Waitangi

on Wednesday our class went to Waitangi because we wanted to learn about the history.

I was in Zoe's dad to go to Waitangi.

once we got there our teacher told us to eat our morning tea before we go into the museum.

We met up with whaea imi which was out tour guides.

When we where going inside we had to put our bags in a blue cage.

When we were inside we saw pictures of explorers that had went to NZ in the 1700's such as James cook and Abel tasman

we went further into the museum and we saw a table that had pictures on it and there where glass cabinets of chess pieces, then we got a white board and write about if the stuff in the glass cabinets if they had a good friendship or not a good relationship.

Then we went outside and we starting walking to the treaty area where the NZ chiefs signed the treaty.

Then we had to make our symbol just like the the chiefs, then i wanted to be the first one to sign the treaty just like Hone heke.

then we went to the marae where kupe is on the top of the marae, then we posed the pukana on the mat and the teacher took a photo of us.

Then we went to James busby and Agnes busby's house and it looked very cool and old.

Then we walked outside into the garden.

Then we walked into the boat area where the boat called Ngatokimatawhaorua was and it weighed 6 tons and it weighed even more when it went into the water and it soaked up the water and weighed 12 tons!!

Then we sang the song matariki in front of the guides then we went back in Zoe's dads car and left.
